Search in the journal of Topology and its Applications gives a paper on titled Inverse limit spaces arising from problems in economics Abstract In this paper we use tools from topology and dynamical systems to analyze the structure of solutions to implicitly defined equations that arise in economic theory, specifically in the study of so-called. for its applications beyond our present study.) In the ensuing chapter on duality the analogy to algebra becomes clearer: For a suitable class of spaces there exists a duality theory which resembles formally the duality between a vector space and its dual space. The first main theorem of algebraic topology is the Brouwer–Hopf degree Size: 2MB.

Topology and its Applications is primarily concerned with publishing original research papers of moderate length. However, a limited number of carefully selected survey or expository papers are also included.
The mathematical focus of the journal is that suggested by the title: Research in Topology. It is felt that it is inadvisable to attempt a definitive description of topology as understood for this journal. It consists of English translations of eight works: five of Dehn's major papers in topology and combinatorial group theory, and three unpublished works which illuminate the published papers and contain some results not available by: Topology and its Applications is primarily concerned with publishing original research papers of moderate length.

Proceedings of the Northeast Conference on the subject at Wesleyan University, Connecticut, in June The two dozen papers, by mathematicians from the US, Canada, and the Netherlands, report on recent advances in topology for research mathematicians and graduate students.
